After many years living in the UAE, I really wanted to start Arabic class but most of the options I found were too traditional, focusing too much on the alphabet and words we don’t need in the day to day. And StoryInteracters is exactly the opposite. We’ve only learned useful sentences to talk about daily activities and say how you feel. After 12 lessons I’m now able to jump in basic Arabic conversations that my friends are having and make a joke. Additionally, the way used to learn the grammar and how sentences are structured makes it come naturally. The result is that I have no idea how I learned that this or that word needs to be place in what order, but I just know it. Overall, I now feel much more connected to the daily life and my Arab friends. Everyone opens up when seeing me throwing a few sentences in Arabic. And no need to talk about the tools it gives you to order food at a restaurant or just orientate yourself where everyone only speaks Arabic.
